What problem are you solving?

To create employment by providing direct access to books, stories and literacy support to underserved communities throughout the country, to help children start school ready and excited to learn to read and write.

To date Nali Bali have accomplished the following:

  • 2,837 home visits to families to give away books and model home literacy activities
  • 2,563 reading club sessions have taken place
  • 2,615 story sessions at early childhood development centres have been held

Over the Programme, the SIP will look at the following impact:

  • 20,000 children
  • 2,700 families and
  • 450 early learning centres in 7 provinces around the country will receive training on how to use stories and books to help children’s school preparedness.
