Submit your ideas to help grow and develop the wood and forestry industry now in the IDC Open Innovation Forestry challenge.
The Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) is inviting suggestions from the public on how to address particular challenges within the Forestry Industry.
Registered companies, and South African residents who are 18 years and older, can enter the Open Innovation Forestry Challenge by submitting proposals which should address one or more of the following questions:
- In what areas, other than development finance, can the IDC support the development of the forestry value chain?
- What can be done to improve the sustainability of community-owned forestry projects?
- What innovative funding models can the IDC use to support sustainable community-owned forestry projects?
- How can the private and public sectors work together to support development of the forestry value chain?
Proposals can be submitted through the IDC website on or before 30 April 2014.
All participants will be notified as to whether their submissions were successful by 31 May 2014. The successful companies or individuals, In partnership with the IDC, will develop a comprehensive public relations campaign to promote the individual or business concerned. Terms and conditions apply.
