Business Partner Awards launched

Business Partner Awards launched

Businesses big and small that are helping to grow the economy can compete in the awards, and be in the running for some useful prizes.

Entries are open for the first IDC Business Partner Awards (BPAs). They are another step in the IDC’s contribution to the creation of balanced, sustainable economic growth in South Africa and the rest of Africa. This competition is only open to existing IDC Business Partners with a valid Business Partner number.

The goal of the BPAs is to reward funding recipients that have contributed to commercially sustainable industrial development in one or more of the four categories, namely:

  • Job creation;
  • Innovation;
  • Sustainability; and,
  • Regional development (Only open to businesses outside of urban areas including townships).

Entrants will be adjudicated by two panels before the winners are announced at a gala dinner on 28 September 2012. Prizes are of a developmental nature and include a full business diagnostic and a host of incubation, entrepreneur development, and mentorship programmes across small, medium and large businesses. Finalists will be able to participate in an exhibition, getting media and other exposure for their business and helping them to further their efforts in innovation and sustainability.

Entries open on 2nd of July and close on 31st of August.
