The publications, Key trends in the South African economy and Trends in South African manufacturing production, employment and trade, will be released on a semester basis, specifically in the second and fourth quarters of each calendar year, including to access readers via the newsletter. Says Jorge Maia, head of IDC’s Research and Information Department: “The publications address gaps in the market left unfilled since we stopped publishing hard copies of similar publications several years ago (then under the titles ‘Core Economic Indicators’ and ‘Trade for Growth’). Over the years, there has been substantial demand for their continued compilation – hence the re-consideration that led to their revival in a new format, with new titles, slightly altered content and a new look.” |
