The IDC has a Strategic Business Unit (SBU) dedicated to facilitating the investment activities of all entrepreneurs in 2010 related businesses. It is focused, in line with the IDC mandate to actively seek opportunities that will have the greatest sustainable development impact for the country and continent.
The SBU funds economically viable businesses related to the 2010 FIFA World Cup, which include tourism, transportation, security, information, communication and technology or media and motion picture industries amongst others. All projects must comply with the marketing and service guidelines prescribed by FIFA. |
The SBU can offer a variety of funding mechanisms ranging from equity and quasi-equity to secured loans and guarantees, structured according to the business need and in agreement with the entrepreneur.
All entrepreneurs with economically viable business, related to the 2010 Soccer World Cup, proposals are eligible to apply for funding. The Unit is ready to help you in any way it can and to discuss funding of R1 million or more. |
