Forestry
Pulp & paper
Furniture
Sawmilling, board production, etc
Renewable energy industries

Who should apply for finance

While each proposal is considered on its particular merit, preference is given to:

Financing fixed assets and the fixed portion of growth in working capital requirements
Greenfields projects, expansions and rehabilitations
Relatively sizeable projects
Projects which exhibit economic merit in terms of profitability and sustainability
Projects which have a significant developmental impact eg job creation, export generation, value addition, empowerment and rural development
Emerging entrepreneurs may qualify for a reduction in owner’s funding (excluding start-up losses) depending on the nature of the business
